I run Harbour & Co. Studio from Newhaven, building websites for local businesses across Sussex. Plumbers, cleaners, cafés, coaches: people who are great at what they do but don't have time to wrestle with a website.
You deal with me from start to finish. No account managers, no jargon, and no long contracts. I'll build your home page for free first, so you know exactly what you're getting before you pay a penny.

Questions people ask
Can I see something before I commit?
Yes. Fill in the short questionnaire and I’ll build your home page for free, so you can see how your site would look before you decide anything. If it’s not for you, there’s nothing to pay.
How much does it cost?
A website of up to 5 pages is £395, paid half at the start and half before it goes live. After that, hosting is £120 a year, or the care plan is £30 a month with small changes included. No VAT is added.
How long does it take?
I usually share your free home-page preview within a few days of getting your answers. Once you go ahead, the full site is normally ready within about 10 days of receiving your words and photos, and you get up to two rounds of changes before it goes live.
How do I pay?
Half as a deposit before I start the full site, and the rest once you’ve approved it, before it goes live. You can pay by card or bank transfer. If you decide not to go ahead before I start, I’ll refund the deposit in full.
What happens after it goes live?
I keep your site online on fast, secure hosting and check it every hour, so I know straight away if something stops working. You choose yearly hosting, or a monthly care plan that also includes small changes like new photos, prices or opening hours. There’s no long contract.
Will I own my website and domain?
Yes. Your domain (your web address) is registered in your name, and once you’ve paid in full the design and wording are yours. If you ever want to move on, I’ll send you a copy of your site and help with the move. I’ll never ask for your passwords.
I don’t know what to write. Can you help?
Yes. The questionnaire walks you through it, and I’ll turn your answers into the words for your site. Phone photos of your work are fine.
I already have a website. Can you improve it?
Yes. If it’s old, slow or hard to use on a phone, I can rebuild it properly, with redirects so your old links and Google listings keep working.
Will my site show up on Google?
Every site is set up so Google can read it properly, with clear page titles and descriptions, and it’s fast on phones, which Google likes. No one can honestly promise a top spot, but I’ll give you a solid start.
